First off, I owe MorganPerformance Fabrication ( www.mpfab.com ) a huge thank you {thumbup} I should've made this thread a long time ago to show off their work but wanted to wait until my methanol kit was installed/tuned to give some numbers. Walker ( owner of shop, sn Drifto on evoM) is one of the most friendly/professional people you will ever meet and I'd recommend him to anyone. He pays close attention when fabricating his parts ensuring that everything works and works well. Walker custom built everything including the manifold, intake, IC piping, catch can, upper radiator pipe, o2 housing and downpipe. I can't say enough about how pleased I was with their work so I'll let some pictures do the talking.
I'd also like to give a big thanks to Doug at TopSpeed for the killer tune, he really knows his stuff as well. I finally got around to getting my car tuned on pump/methanol a couple days ago and thought I'd share with you guys. The car made 488 whp and 379 wtq at 26 psi on pump/meth and made ~390 whp on straight pump gas 22 psi a month or so back. The car may have had some more in it but we had to stop at 26 psi because the meth nozzle (625) was maxxed out.
Anyways sorry for being so long, here are the pics and mods list:
488 whp and 379 wtq @ 26 psi pump/meth
~390 whp @ 22 psi 93 oct.
Here is the graph. Note the pull right before this was the 488 whp one.

Nice numbers, Im assuming your using AEM EMS? Any idea what numbers you would put down on Andrews dyno? Also, are you interested in attending the dynoday that we are going to be having on July 14th? Get those pics up on photobucket and they should work fine.

 Nice work! That's some serious power right there! I bet it's still a very streetable car though. I would love to experience it sometime if you can make it to one of the meets.

I bet it still pulls some very respectable numbers even on Andrew's dyno.
man... you should be over 600 with meth on a 35r... you have upgraded cams? 480 is great number dont get me wrong... but we have seen higher hps numbers man! i dont know but get the stuff together and with aem ems you should be on those 550+ numbers... good luck man

I disagree. Those are great numbers. YTBSE, you have to understand that he is not running the 35R on a stroked engine. He is still on the 2.0 liter setup. If it was a 2.3 then he would be around 600ish, but he is right around where he should be on the 2.0 setup.

^^That's what I was thinking too. Although I am still learning.

Not totally true Ryan. Charles was making a little over 500 with his 35R and hes still running a 2.0 block. He's still running his 2.0 block with his BIG turbo. He is running an AEM EMS though. The only thing hes got different is hes running the revolver 262, 264 cams and all buschur racing parts other than that. Hes also got a built 2.0 though. He was also running 35-40 psi with his built block. What was your AFR?

Thanks! Nope still on the stock ECU, ECUFlash ftw!! Should be around 430-440whp if I were guessing on Andrew's dyno but not completely sure. The pics work on all the other websites I've got this post up on, just not here for some reason, oh well... Oh yea, where is the dynoday going to be, Andrew's place?

Thank you!! I drive the car daily so making sure it is streetable is a HUGE factor for me as it's my only car, and it does just fine. I'd be fine with taking you for a ride sometime if I'm down that way though..

The AFR is a solid 11.3-11.4, keep in mind this is ONLY on 26 psi. Most people on methanol run at least 28-29 on stock blocks or 31+ psi with built bottom ends. The numbers are solid for no more boost than the car is running, at 30 psi 550+ whp would be no problem.
BTW a 2.0 and 2.3 will make basically the same peak whp it is the torque and the usable powerband that is a lot fatter with the 2.3, but in turn you lose the ability to rev high. I overheard Charles car is over 600whp on TopSpeed's dyno now, but I'm pretty sure that is on c16 and about 40psi or more as well..

Tripp, please read the entire thread before posting :D Mac made 488 with meth injection. Charles made 500.... so 12 hp is a big difference? The argument was that on the 2.0 with a 35R Mac should not be over 600 hp, he is still hitting close to 500 which is where he should be. Charles setup with his 35R just proves my statement that Mac is right around where he should be on the 2.0, just like Charles was with this setup. Once again, great numbers Mac, how do you like it?

Mac, the dynoday will be at Andrews (Dyno4mance) on July 14th. I need to know in advance who wants to jump on the dyno.

It runs great and I'm well pleased with all of it. If I do come down I probably will just watch, but I'll let you know soon if I do decide to get on the dyno..

He has everything you need there at the shop. You wont need to bring anything for the tune. Are you planning on getting a Xede by then or are you going to do ECUflash?
Mac, I thought you used to be tuned with the Xede, did you switch over?

Ryan, I'm not sure what I will use to tune with yet. I thought about just using ECUflash. I am not sure if I can swing the extra money for the Xede. How much would the Xede cost roughly with our group rate?

I used to use the Xede, but TopSpeed doesn't fool with them so it's just disabled and have been tuned strictly on the stock ECU..

Used Xedes are going for about 200 bucks on average, there is one guy selling his for like 175 on evoM. The resale value of these things are completlely worthless since the release of ECUFlash, it sucks. Personally, I'd just go with ECUFlash as their isn't a ton of difference between the two and it's completely free to flash the stock ECU. About the only reason to even have an Xede anymore is for boost control, finer timing adjustments, better resolution, and a few of the goodies such as NLS, lean-run protect, yada yada..
The Xede was great a couple years ago (hence the reason I have one) but with ECUFlash now it's pretty much obsolete since you can modify the same things in the stock ECU.. my .02cents

Sorry Ryan i see what your saying now. Arent there some limitations to using ECUflash as the factory ECU only allows tuning up to 8000 or 8500 RPM's? I know this isnt a huge deal considering none of us are probably going to be like AMS using a 2.1 liter that revs to 10k. I was personally looking at using ECU+ as it allows you to swap to the GM MAF with a blow through set up that will allow you to use a VTA BOV with out idling issues. Also I believe it only costs 600-700 bucks with the ECU+ piggy back, GM MAF, and IC piping for the blow through set up.
Also Mac are you using a VTA BOV with ECUflash? If so are you using the HKS EIDS?

I was actually just giving you a hard time Tripp :P I believe Andrew does ECU+ aswell. I can ask him if anyone is seriously interested in using it.
