Feeler...evoatlanta Cruises Around The Atl???

Meets are cool but what if we all got together on a Sat or Sun and just cruise through the city. We could have "central" starting point like Forged, then just cruise around mixing a little hwy and city streets. It would be fun to be rolling down the hwy with 20+ evo's! Then we could have a "finish" point somewhere downtown like Fellini's, Varsity, 5 guys, etc?!? No racing, just riding around. I know gas isnt $.99 a gallon but we gotta splurge at some point. Or maybe if we all just cruise to another city like Savannah or Panama City. Hit the beach and get some sun, then head back to Atlanta. Just throwing out some ideas. Im sure we would turn a lot of heads...Im also sure if it went down it would be the talk of the local import scene and Honda and Subaru owners would ATTEMPT to do it like us.

What do yall think?

Sounds like a good plan there. Don't know the ending locations myself, but we need to make sure there is plenty of room for a large turn out wherever we go.

Awe joo guys are so sweet. 28th may be doable for me. I'm gonna swap out a cracked exhaust manifold tonight on the M28 to see if I can get it to run right. Then some body werk, paint werk, & lots of sanding & buffing to get her ready to sell. Then we will have Ebo monies to play with :D

Albany sucks besides the evo's theres a few subies and sum ****** up hondas.I think the guy you're talking about got an evo now all the guys here with evo's all had either 1g or 2g dsm's except for me i was a honda/acura guy.

If Shep can actually get my transmission out this week or next...there is a slim possibility I may have my EVO back in time to join up. I'm cool with the 28th or July ( I should be in town). Wife and the kids might come with. As for the route; I like circling 285 and then going down 78, go through downtown and eating at a resturant. If we were to grill out who would bring the grilling gear needed?

Resturant is my vote, but I'm cool with whatever.

YES ITS STILL ON!

The only thing that I'm thinking about changing is the end point (Fellini's Pizza on E.Ponce). Im thinking that the Varsity might be a better end point because of PARKING, popularity, and visibility. We could use the entire upper deck parking lot. The route is still the same as I posted earlier. We meet at Forged in Marietta, take Cobb Pkwy to 285W, loop 285 until it comes back around to 78W, then take 78W to downtown, 78W will eventually turn into Ponce De Leon, and Ponce dead ends at the Varsity. That way we can get plenty of highway and city streets. I will try to put a map quest map and highlight the route. Im not making an offical thread for this weekend because this one has so many replies. One new suggestion is lets try to keep all of the evos together. Im sure there will be many other cars showing up which is def cool.

Im doing a "practice run" of the route this Sat to gauge time and traffic.

Any other last minute suggestions?
