Fuel pump going out...?

My fuel pumps making a really loud noise. It did this last summer, but I don't think as bad and was told it was merely the pump getting hot. Well now the car has sat for about 3 hours, has no heat in the engine and the pump is still making a really loud noise. I'm worried its going out. The last thing I want to do is drive the car and have the fuel pump go out on me while driving and pop the engine. Anyone have experience with this?

Was your fuel low, they are louder when the fluid is not around it to cool.

I'm embarrassed to even say it... lol. Basically I had accidently hit my IC sprayer button and it got stuck on manual and my IC sprayer ran out of water. All I heard was a pump that sounded like it was running dry and I freaked out lol.

haha yea at least u solved it by pushing a button instead of having to spend money on something stupid
