That actually almost happened to my BMW 328, but the parts list would have been arround 10 grand. If I had fabrication knowledge & tools that prive would have come down closer to 6 grand & it would be done. That car is my next project. Made alittle progress today. Removed all the mounts & bungs I wont be reusing from the manifold. Packed it up & sent it out to MAP for porting. I still need to doo alot more grinding & sanding to smooth it out & make it purdy. Here's a teaser of what it looks like at this point. I'm removing the FPR solenoid, EGR valve, & evap solenoid. as well as the unwanted mounts to clean up the look of the stock intake.

Got the correct head gasket Friday & got back to making progress today after werk with a friend. Things go way too slow when it's been 3 months since you pull stuff apart. But after a long after noon the motor is in the car. Not much else is done yet cause it's after 1:00am & all we did ids get the motor & tranny in & bolted to the 2 outer mounts then called it a day. Sould get most of the little stuff buttoned up tomorrow

Nothing too new. Turbo shipped today so I shoulsd see it twards the end of next week. My buddy's gonna finnish up extending some connectors on the wiring harness tonight so I can bolt everything else back up & then be ready to slap the turbo on when it gets here & be done with it.

Its hard to deny the fact that this may be the BEST overall value between the HTA Green and BBK Full. I mean its like 450 to 500 cheaper and you dont need a core.

Got most of the small stuff on that can go on before the turbo. Tracking number shows that the turbo will be here Saturday. I had a buddy help me extend my wiring harness so I could run it under the intake to clean things up a bit. I may have gone overboard with the SS lines but since I was already doing fuel lines, I went ahead & did my vacuum lines & catch can lines with SS braided lines too. I also replaced a lot of hardware with SS screws to complete the look. Heres afew more pics of what I've got now.

Thanx. I like to think I have good taste with how to modify things. Some of my ieads are not for everyone. I did a custom paint job on my sister in laws mustang a while back with lime green wheels that we loved but a lot of people didn't care for it. Got the turbo installed. Everything was fighting me but it finally is on. Goin over to my brothers house to help him with a few things to nite so I wont be finished till tomorrow. Gotta install the LICP, Radiator, fill & bleed fluids, & see if she will start tomorrow. Test drove it over to my brothers house. Needs clutch adjustment, steering wheel centered, and the tune dialed in but it's running fine. I'll get some pics and and maybe a vid up tomorrow for you guyz.

It starts up and idles fine but the tune is definately a bit off. I'm getting the knock CEL at very low boost & the car will cut off sometimes when coming to a stop. It's running good enough for me to do some light driving, but as soon as I can get a Tactrix cable to play with I can get you some logs to see if we can dial it in a little better. I'm sure one of the biggest isses issues is the Maf-t Pro settings.

Yeah, the MAF-T is definitely off, and probably even more so with the VE change of the 2.3. I'm sure we can iron it out though to get you to FL.

NEW PICS ! I changed my mind on the Valve Cover color once again. I'm sure by the time I'm done with it that it will end up Lambo Orange. I'm trying not to go that route cause it's been done, but I'm starting to think it may be the best color option for my car. The blue looks killer in the engine bay but doesn't really go with the Red brakes & amber lights. I guess we'll see. I f I keep this color I'll prolly do the calipers the same color. Well I decided that although I loved the blue, it didn't match anything on the car. I went ahead & painted it Lamborghini orange. I think this color best suits the car & I may do the calipers to match one day.

I'll prolly do the calipers one day. The car is running on a tune just good enough to roll arround on so I aint gonna have vids for a while. I need a Tactrix so I can get some logs to help dial my tune in. I'm way past broke at the moment, but should have some cash flowing in soon so I can finish everything up & get dyno tuned. By the way I'm not a mod so please don't ban me cause I can't unban myself. ;)

It's been sitting. I did the trans svc, adjusted the clutch pedal & drove it to Taco Hell Friday. I gotta do a little more adjustment cause it's too low now, but much better. I'll drive it more now that it's drivable again (valve cover back on ;) ).
