Insulted by a fellow Evo driver

I met up with an Evo driver, who will remain nameless on last Saturday, I don't beloeve that he is a member of this forum, but if he is, he'll know what the hell I'm talking about. He told me Saturday that hew was looking to sell his exhaust (unsure of the brand and type) to get a Trust exhaust.
I ask him, "How much do you want for it?"
he answers. "what's your budget? I have a whole lot of parts."
Wrong fukking answer!
I receive a text today from a mutual acquaintance telling me that he is offering his HKS 272 cams to me for 350.00....the damn things can be bought for 275.00, new!!!!


This is insulting, and I told the guy to never speak to me again about cars or anything else.

Well, its very possible this is a simple misunderstanding. On average the HKS cams go for between 300-330 per cam new. It is possible he was offering to sell you a pair of the HKS cams for 350, a 600-660 value new. In that case it would not be an insult. I would double check to see the details if I were you because if the price is for the pair then its actually a pretty good deal. I got mine for $580 for 2 new HKS 272's.

Damn you Ryan... :( Its all good though... I learned my lesson... :lol: I guess that fixed your problem? I only had one that was REALLY loose, but i tightened em all and it feels alot stronger. Beat the hell out of a Cobalt SS... Those superchargers are really loud...!

Ya, mine felt alot stronger aswell. They also put in the 8s instead of the 7s :D I also have a boost leak, we think, so I will need to upgrade my bov when I go with the FP Green turbo.
