Hey Im trying to figure out the best way to install an EPM 02 dump Version 2. Looks pretty straight foward but im not sure if I have/need to remove the entire turbo/mani/o2 housing and assemble it out of the car OR if i can just unbolt only the OEM O2 housing and DP? Also is there anything that I may need to have on hand like, gaskets, additional nuts/bolts, liquid wrench/pb blaster, special tools? Info and mods relevant to the install; Its an 03, stock turbo, ETS 3.5" intercooler and LICP, Megan 3" DP. It seems like everytime I install something I always come across needed something extra so Im trying to be proactive. Thnx

pm bomjoon, or touring bubble. TB is in with EMP, and BJ had it on the IX turbo he is trying to sale.

You do not need to remove the turbo. you may want to remove the radiator though as it will give you much more room to work.
You need:
PB Blaster
Sockets
Wrenches
Patience
1: Soak the O2 housing bolts in PB blast. Wait about an hour.
2: Drain and remove radiator
3: Use more PB Blast
4: Remove lower tie bars
5: Remove DP
6: Remove LICP (and J-Pipe for a little more room, but it's a pain to get back on)
7: Attempt to remove stock O2 housing bolts
8: Use more PB blast
9: Actually remove stock O2 housing
10: Attempt to bolt on EPM housing
11: Throw tools and curse
12: Tighten down EPM O2 housing (One nut has to be threaded as it slides on to the stud, not after)
13: Reinstall parts from step 6 backward

Perfect, BTW are you and EMP far from Phenix City, AL?

Take 280 W for about 1:15 and that's where I am ... EPM is about 20 min from me.
And, to clarify, I'm not actually "with" EPM. They contract out work to me and I'm personal friends with the guys there. I do not speak for the company directly. =)
Oh, and the EPM pipe should have come with it's own gasket. Do not reuse the stock O2 > Turbo gasket. You do reuse the donut gasket though.

FWIW I removed the exhaust manifold & separated the hotside from the turbo so I could swap o2 housings with the hotside off the car. When we did lazyevos we bolted the hotside to my workbench to get the bolts & o2 sensor loose. No fluid loss this way.

Nice ideas Shunder. I pulled the entire turbo when I did my first O2 install (Megan). It was a PAIN! There was no way to get leverage on the O2 bolts. Pulling the hotside is an option and the bolting to the bench is a good idea if you go that route.

I think it was lazyevos idea to bolt it to the bench. We tried everything for about an hour first. Once it was bolted to the table &didn't move it worked great.

take the turbo off... it will save you lots of time.
rusted cross threaded bolts FTL~!
pb blaster only works when your bolt is still in good shape.
it dont perform miracles.
take rad. off. then the turbo/mani with the turbo.
then put the mani/turbo on the bench then go at it.
