I received my new carbon fiber Do-Luck lip yesterday and it took me about an hour to install it. First of all, I think it looks sharp on there. The fitment is great. The only problem I have is that I keep scraping the bottom of it. I think I have an incline clear and then I hear it scrape. I guess I'll have to get used to that. I'll get some pictures posted later.

Cant wait to see the pics Dan. That is one of the main reasons that I haven't tried to get a cf lip. I figure that it's gonna be scraped to hell anyway, even though I'm terribly cautious.

Cool man. I think the VIII lips tend to be lower that the IX ones. Still waiting on my ralliart lip. How long did yours take to ship?

It took them about a week to get it to me. I was really astounded at the sturdiness of their packaging.

This is NOT a challenge, I am truly interested. On your 80, how are your arms positioned? I ask, cuz i find that if mine are shoulder width, i bust out crazy #'s, but if i go wide, those #'s dwindle quick!

You lower your body as one unit until your upper arm is parallel with the ground. You push yourself up again as one unit until your elbow locks out. That counts as one rep. You can place your hands as wide as you want.

It's the Do-Luck model. My driveway has a little incline on it and I am always scraping it. It doesn't matter what angle I attack it from, I still end up scraping the bottom of the lip. It's the same way with my condo in Atlanta. The parking garage has many levels and I end up scraping at least one of the levels.

Looks good Dan and that does suck about the scraping. One of the main reasons why I haven't replaced mine. Theres a huge dip right when I'm pulling in my complex.

About the push ups I bet you couldn't do 20 the way we do them in Capoeira :D

Thanks gentlemen for the compliments. It really does send a shiver down my spine every time I scrape it though. I guess that's something I will have to get used to. I suppose it's alright just as long I'm not cracking the thing.

His isn't a true do-luck part (I believe... Please correct me if I'm wrong), but if you check evom I know a few vendors there carry Do Luck parts.

Check rexpeed.net. They offer Do-Luck, Ralliart, Voltex, DAMD, replicas plus a lot of original stuff too. And very competitively priced considering the original pieces are either not made anymore or ridiculous expensive!

So i bought a lip from sam on here and while the car was at the body shop the cracked it!!! Its small but i noticed it!!! Guess what???????? They got me a new 1 on the way!!! it was alot of dam screws to install it though!!! I know why it took you an hour!!! lol

Ryano, I think it looks good. What aren't you sure about the CF for? I think the real Do-Luck comes in CF as well as a FRP, but you obviously need to have that painted.

Amonsta, thats good they're replacing it. Whether your bought it used or not they cracked it and should repair/replace it.

Thanks again gentlemen for the compliments. I would have normally gone through rexpeed for a lip but I found a better deal with another company. My suggestion ryano is to search the exterior styling threads for the X's and ask for quotes from all the companies on there and then go with the one you like best.

Thanks Tripp! I thought about you yesterday when we flew over Reno, NV enroute from Salt Lake City to Honolulu. Lake Tahoe looked great. We head back to ATL later today. I guess you are still in Reno? Looking forward to a mountain run when you get back.
